Currently Showing At The Cave Of Cool

I love watching people with loyalties that shift under the weight of just trying to live another day. I am never sure who to trust on this show and I have gotten into it's jazzy duster vibe. Each character, for good or bad, is an archetype for a much larger part of the complicated puzzle that is the Old West, especially during the time of the building of the transcontinental railroad - post Civil War America.

Coming from the East or the West, you were eventually going to run smack into the Rocky Mountains and that is where your entire operation either lives or dies. The whole movie set with it's cast of societies outcasts is a fun monster to see in full motion. I imagine season three will be the one where they suffer in the snowy mountain passes. This show is filmed very close to my part of the world and I like that nothing is ever as pretty as the mythology of the Old West leads you to believe.

I like how the moving train town goes for full realism in it's costumes and setting. This really is a grubby, dangerous place to be. Justice comes to he who is willing to take it into his or her own hands.

The show also has magnificently strong female characters. Not a single one is a shrinking violet lest she be eaten alive by the sharks around here.

You can learn more about all the main characters by going HERE.

I'm still pissed off at Dish network not carrying AMC anymore. I need to find another way of seeing Hell on Wheels. Won't switch to Direct TV, they are too expensive.

How can those cable bastards think they can squeeze people for a few more scheckles at a time when people can find what they want to watch it and see it when they want to by using the internet. I know you can see the first episode on AMC.com.

Yeah, I think Hulu might have the shows on too. I agree with you wholeheartedly. I hate the fact that TV costs so much anyway. And this AMC thing has something to do with some old court case. Sick of corporate America.

They cut their own throat with ever greedy fucked up thing they do. It just takes time for the backlash to begin. I see how Apple is selling a system that allows you to download any show or movie you want anytime you want and watch it whenever you want and wherever you want. They know the surge is coming. Everything should be in an ON DEMAND format including first run movies. You pay one price for the connection and that's it. You would kill all the piracy problems in a day. People just want to watch...get out of their way you stupid corporations. Take a smaller SUSTAINABLE piece of the pie now and worry about the profits down the line that will by come by provided some serious customer SERVICE for a change....

but I rant.
